After an absence of a number of years, we are proud to announce that we will once again be offering the services of Safari Anticosti Outfitters. Safari Anticosti offers world-class whitetail hunts on Anticosti Island. Anticosti Island is home to over ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND whitetail deer. The Island is rich in history, going to back to the days of Henri Meunier, a multi-millionaire who made his fortune in the chocolate business. Mr. Meunier stocked the Island with bison, deer, foxes, moose and small game. Today, only the deer remain in abundance, and they provide one of the more unusual whitetail hunting adventures available anywhere.
We worked with Safari Anticosti for several years under a previous owner, consequently making the decision to move on after an ownership change several years ago. Safari Anticosti now has new owners, millions of dollars in improvements, including a paved landing strip that will accommodate a 747 jet! New lodgings, new amenities and a new philosophy have combined to provide one of the premier whitetail hunting opportunities currently available. Our hunters can choose from either American plan or Housekeeping plan hunting experiences. Guides are provided, as are newly and updated lodging and facilities. A world-class cuisine, and amenities, coupled with an extraordinary hunting experience where hunters may harvest two deer or either sex make Safari Anticosti the hunt of a lifetime. Hunts are of either four or five days duration and are offered in September or November. Anticosti Isle is a primarily a soft-wood habitat island and during October the deer in area where tree growth is very dense, thus the September/November hunting season.
