Lila and I are delighted to introduce Safari Anticosti Outfitters, located on
the northeast end of Anticosti Island in the St. Lawrence River. Anticosti
Island is in the Province of Quebec and is home to something over one hundred
twenty thousand whitetail deer. Our outfitter's territory contains
conservatively fifteen thousand deer, which provides a deer/mile ratio of forty
deer per square mile! Transportation to the Island is via air only and is from
either Montreal or Quebec. Assistance with travel arrangements and motels are
provided.
A variety of hunts are offered to fit every budget. Included in the rate is
airfare and Canadian taxes, which total eleven and one-half per cent. All hunts
are guided and transportation is provided. Our American plan customers will
enjoy a world-class cuisine that includes complimentary wine, appetizers
including shrimp, scallops, escargots, smoked meats and cheeses. Entrees will
include prime rib, chicken, pork loin, sirloin steaks, etc, an excellently
prepared and served by your delightful, friendly staff. Guides are English-
speaking, and very knowledgeable about Anticosti Isle. Most of these guides are
long-term guides on the Island and know the deer and their habits intimately.
The guides win remove your trophy from the woods and transport it to the meat
house where it will be expertly prepared for the trip home. You are allowed to
harvest two deer of either sex. Anticosti deer are wonderful eating and your guides
are happy to structure your hunt around your wishes and preferences. You will
enjoy private hunting territories each day, reserved exclusively for you and
your party. The average number of daily sightings will run from ten to twenty
deer! Don't shoot the first deer that you see!
There is much more to tell about this world-class whitetail hunting experience.
