Osprey Outfitters' located on Quebec's largest natural lake, Lac Mistassini, (one hundred miles long) offers a very rare wilderness fishing experience. From your starting point at the Cree village of Mistissini (your overnight will be in a five-star hotel!), you will enjoy a 30-45 minute floatplane trip to a spectacular lodge that has been literally carved out of the wilderness. In the early part of the season, anchoring on the shoals will provide chances to sight cast to feeding schools of brook trout. During our second visit there last year, we caught lake trout up to ten pounds on streamers, on the surface, in three hundred feet water! Truly, Mistassini provides some of the most varied and unusual trophy fishing opportunities that we've ever encountered.
