Basse-Cote Nord Outfitters lies deep in the interior of eastern Quebec, a short distance south of the Quebec-Labrador border. The outfitters lodge is reached via a short floatplane flight from Havre-St. Pierre, located on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, approximately 8 hours from Quebec City. Havre-St. Pierre is also accessed via ferry across the River at any of several points. Assistance with ferry reservations is offered.

Offering both American and European plan packages, Basse-Cote provides simply terrific fishing for landlocked salmon with brook trout available at many of the more than a dozen outlying ponds that surround Lake Gallineau, where the main lodge lies. Both spin and fly fishermen will enjoy endless opportunities to fish the main lake or make the trip to the remote ponds (One pond is designated as a trophy catch & release pond).

Lodging is in hand-built log cabins designed with comfort in mind, providing all amenities including showers and flush toilets. The cabins are completely furnished and include all utensils for the European plan customers to cook and serve meals. American plan customers will enjoy meals including lobsters (in season), scallops, steaks, pork loin, roast beef, etc, and bag lunches are provided daily. Airfare, boats & motors are included in the rate, as is safety vests and nets. Customers will enjoy five full days in camp at this remote lodge amid the spectacular scenery that is eastern Quebec.
